OUR Commitment to Sustainable Tourism

Naturecrazi is dedicated to fostering a harmonious relationship between humans and the natural world. We believe that responsible tourism is essential to preserving our planet’s biodiversity and cultural heritage. Our commitment to sustainable tourism is rooted in the following principles:

Minimal Environmental Impact:

  • Conserving natural resources
  • Reducing waste and pollution
  • Protecting ecosystems and biodiversity

Conservation Support:

  • Contributing to conservation causes
  • Supporting climate change initiatives
  • Educating on human/animal conflict

Cultural Respect:

  • Supporting local communities and traditions
  • Preserving cultural heritage
  • Avoiding cultural appropriation

Economic Benefits:

  • Supporting local businesses and economies
  • Fair wages and working conditions
  • Long-term sustainability

Social Responsibility:

  • Promoting ethical and responsible tourism practices
  • Supporting local communities and their well-being
  • Addressing social issues related to tourism

Education and Awareness:

  • Promoting environmental and cultural education
  • Raising awareness about sustainable tourism practices
  • Inspiring responsible behavior among travelers

Our Sustainable Tourism Guidelines manual is therefore based on the three pillars of sustainable tourism:

PLANET:
Environmental sustainability.
PEOPLE:
Social sustainability.
PROFIT:
Economic sustainability.

The guidelines serve as a blueprint for Naturecrazi and our subsidiary companies to grow whilst involving local communities in planning and decision making. The impacts of our organisation and products are assessed annually against these three pillars.

Tourism has the potential to contribute to all seventeen of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), either directly or indirectly.

In particular, sustainable tourism has been included as targets in Goals 8, 12 and 14; on inclusive and sustainable economic growth, sustainable consumption and production (SCP) and the sustainable use of oceans and marine resources, respectively.

Accordingly, Naturecrazi gears towards the SDGs mainly through its planet, people and profit oriented pillars to drive responsible, widely accessible, and sustainable tourism.

Every trip itinerary listed on this website has a Sustainability tab wherein we have accessed our partners “qualifying criteria” impact on the UN SDGs.
